Studio Policy
Group class fees are prepaid at least one week before the first class. Private lesson tuition may be paid by term or monthly at least 48 hours before the first class. E-transfers are sent to joy.zhiwenzhou@gmail.com with student's name, lesson, and term in the comment field, for example: Joy + voice lesson + Fall 2026.
Written withdrawal is required. A pro-rated refund is available only before the second class of each term begins.
Voice and piano lessons can be rescheduled without penalty with more than 24 hours notice. A $40 cancellation fee applies with less than 24 hours notice.
Because our classes rely heavily on group dynamics, peer collaboration, and shared movement exploration, every student plays an essential role in the ensemble's progress. To maintain the integrity of our group curriculum, we are unable to provide make-up sessions, refunds, or tuition credits for student absences.
If the instructor cancels due to illness or emergency, a make-up week will be added to the end of the term or a credit will be issued.
If City of Richmond Hill facility closures affect Langstaff, classes will move to an online format for that day or be rescheduled.
Recording in group classes is not permitted. Any published Be You Music media requires parental consent and privacy-respecting edits when needed.
Be You Music Education reserves the right to de-enrol students for inappropriate conduct.
